RESTORED SANTA FE SEMAPHORE SIGNAL NOW ON DISPLAY

Thanks to the efforts of Boy Scout Eagle candidate, Ryan Heaney, and our dedicated museum volunteers, Travel Town now boasts a beautifully restored and operational T-2 "upper quadrant" semaphore signal. This vintage trackside signal stood along the Santa Fe Railway mainline near Wagon Mound, New Mexico for over 60 years - where it governed the passing of such famous trains as the California Limited, El Capitan and Super Chief.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Foundation is to educate the public about railroad history as it pertains to the development of the Southwest Region of the United States, particularly the Los Angeles area. We fulfill this mission by restoring, operating, and interpreting the historic railroad equipment at the Travel Town Museum.

The Foundation supports Travel Town by administering the Museum's volunteer programs, restoration projects and educational outreach efforts. Our programs and activities are funded through grants and donations along with proceeds from our Museum Gift Shop.

We hope you will come for a visit and experience all the Park has to offer you and your family. Become a member, volunteer, shop in the Gift Shop, take a Docent Tour, ride the train and, most of all, keep the rails alive! See you soon!
